Toroidal Cores

Wiltan Toroidal Cores are supplied in numerous sizes and grades of material. Cores can be manufactured in the following materials:

• Silicon Steel: Thicknesses of 0.05mm, 0.1mm, 0.23mm, 0.27mm, 0.3mm, 0.35mm.
• Nickel-Iron: Thicknesses of 0.07mm, 0.1mm, 0.2mm.
• Cobalt-Iron (amorphous): Maximum strip width of 0.03mm.

Toroidal cores have numerous advantages over stamped laminations providing low magnetic leakage, low noise, close flux path and smaller core size/weight and efficiency. Toroidal cores may be supplied either cut or uncut and with the following finishes:

• Natural (dry)
• Edge bonded, for protection from mechanical stresses.
• Fully vacuum impregnated, for greater protection from mechanical stress.
• Polypropylene covered, for electrical insulation.
• End capped, for greater electrical insulation.
• Epoxy coated, for electrical and heat insulation.
• Painted, for added corrosion protection and cosmetic purposes.

We are able to cater for varying quantities, from single units to large batch orders with impressive lead and delivery time.
